what motor is that?

edit - n/m

the position of that shifter looks downright painful. i've seen some weird setups on older vw's, but that pretty much matches anything i've seen from that crowd.

Nevermind, intake is on the right.

no really, what motor is it. I say buy that shit and overhaul it!!!! I wonder what tranny & rear it has. |
I wanna say Volvo.
can you check your oil through the eyeball vent?
What's so ghetto about it? The stick shift? That's all I see. They did a damn good job on the motor mounts and pulley bracket IMO. Yes, the firewall mod could've been painted, but I don't think they were interested in pretty.
my guess is that its a ford motor. its a fwd motor for sure. that shifter was hanging on nothing as the tranny and read end was removed. looking at it, it had a supercharger on it at some point also.
supercharged Ecotec?
thats what im thinking^^^
Custom supercharger work... so safe to assume it isn't a factory SC motor?
Looks to be chain drive? Composite one piece valve cover? I'm really going through motor ideas here... not finding visual matches... its annoying :p |
Dosen't look like and ecotec

that giant "can" on the intake side of the cam cover should be a giveaway
I'm going with a ford focus motor.... pic to follow.
