Default Just got back from a photoshoot...

Stan, Jeff and I rode around town to some pretty scenic spots. Below are what I consider the best. Oh and an FD showed up at the local Miata meeting with a pearlescent paint job. That car was sick. Other than that, I might upload a few more I deem appropriate. My car didn't go because it wasn't running.

Man you guys got home late.

TIP: for anyone taking photos of a Emerald green mica car at night. You need A lot of light, and a super slow shutter speed. Jeff's white car was cake compared to mine.

Arkmage, you're definitely welcome to come along next time, as long as I get to ride in your car

That took a 4 second exposure before it finally started showing some color.

Nikon D40.
It goes up to 30 second exposures, probably turn a cave into daylight.

One more that I forgot, lol.

Great photos Bryce!
Thanks again for coming along as the professional photographer, I'll let you know once I find a few more locations to shoot at.
Hopefully you have your car running next time!

Stan, Bryce wasn't kidding, your car is truly a black hole!
You don't even want to see how crappy half of my pics turned out...
Time to take that car over to Flores and let him work his magic and give it that mirror finish.

Professional Car photographers will always say to take photos of cars in the early morning as the sun is low on the horizon, or during dusk. I don't think many would recommend late under low lighting, and not mid day when the sun is right over head.

Yeah I do know that, but those shots would not be possible during the day with traffic. These are not low light conditions, they are filled with many sources of light.

Any Professional photographer will always say that cause your talking about taking photos during golden hour, granted "golden hour" is only a 20 min window but the time around that window still creates beautiful photos.

Bryce.... i hate you for the D40, , but hey I just got my 30D working again, so I can start getting some nice photos soon also.

Keep up the great photos man.

Find a good spot that you can go to in the morning or afternoon (which ever works for your case) that close to another structure/building that will block the sunlight withough casting on your subject or on the background. Then you can usally head out about 4pm or so and still have ample time to setup, take some test shots, and shoot for hours if needed!

Inbetween buildings (if you look close you can see the building blocking the sunlight on the door reflection).

Inbetween a building and large tree line
