Just when you think its all fixed......
So now that I have my car back and it looks good and runs like a beast, I'm still having issues. I re-did the entire car to fix all these problems I was having yet, I'm still having them.
Now I noticed that water is somehow getting in and got the back behind the passenger seat wet. Hardtop was supposed to fix that issue. The exhaust leak is still pretty bad but I got used to it. And now I have Abe making me new stuff so that fixes that, but the FM3 kit I got was to replace the crapped out Greddy kit I took off. And tonight the fucking headlights went out! On the way here I noticed I only had one low beam so I went to switch to my high beams and only had one of them. Halfway here the fucking other low beam went out and now I'm left with 1 high beam. Jesus fuck! :vash: Now tomorrow I need to figure out what in the fuck is going on with my headlights. I really don't have time to keep tearing into this car week after week. I know this is part of having a modded car, but really? |
This is why I have a brand new car that only the dealer touches. It is amazing. Sorry to hear though.

Sucks man.
That's what happens when 90% of your car has been modified though: Its much more prone to failure. I'm working out all my little issues as well. |
I'm looking now for something used that I can DD through the winter.
I want something AWD or 4WD capable, or at least FWD. I'd like to get something to use for work to carry all this shit around that I'm selling for people, but size isn't super important. I don't know what I want really, but I NEED something. This car needs to go back to being my fun car, not my everyday car. Can anyone shed some light on if its worth it or not to get a business loan and use that toward a vehicle? I could have a couple grand together to get something used that's cheap, but maybe its worth it to get something newer and just make payments. :hustler: |
I'd get a wrx
|
Get an Audi 4000
|
Get a wrx wagon...they can be had for a decent price and are capable. I sure do love my R32 though, especially yesterday in the snow!

|
I second the Subaru wagon suggestion.
|
+3 wrx wagon
|
saab hatchback, a 900 will carry way more than any subaru. mid to late 90's are $2-5k, leather, heated seats, ac, fully loaded. And turbo charged. Avoid automatics.
|
Yet another +1 for WRX wagon.
Very happy with mine. |

They may be out there, but so rare its not even funny. |
You can't go wrong with a WRX. My first went 110,000 with out a single trip to a mechanic (I did the basic maintenance), and it spent more of it's life near redline than not. I just bought an 08 wagon on Thursday, 15K mi for 19K, very clean car, clean carfax. It will be very lightly modded. A modest suspension package, and SPT cat back exhaust.
Since I sold my first WRX, a year and a half ago. I've been driving my projects to and from work (88mi one way), and it got old. Jumping them at 4:30 am when it's 16* outside, watching the gauges, wondering if your going to make it home. So the WRX is my new DD, the rest are now just toys. |

I have yet to see a reliable, running SAAB that's more than a few years old.

buy another $1500 miata. My daily miata was wrecked, owned by a drifter andits had 70% leak in #3 for 2-years. I never have to work on it.
