Kraftwerks.. seriously? Kraft-no-so-werks?

Re: Group buy Rotrex kits

STILL waiting for those charge pipes that were supposed to be finished 4 months ago? Weekly calls net the same response, "We will be shipping by the end of next week".... Nine weeks ago, but still nothing and according to the sales manager; no end in sight.
Well that's reassuring!

Here's an idea... wait for it!.........

Find another vendor! Most certainly another vendor could have been secured between February and July.

Here's 18 of them in SOCAL alone.

At this point I'll take my kit without the charge pipe and make my own.

So far in this thread you have ranted about something we know absolutely nothing about, provided a broken link, and have failed to really explain the issue.

Seems fairly self-explanatory-

Purchased Rotrex kit from vendor under group buy that was supposed to start shipping the end of February.
The vendor is unable to deliver because they're waiting on Kraftwerks.

I started contacting Kraftwerks directly in April, they are the holdup.

How about just not get a failtrex altogether? problem solved

Wastemore 06-25-2013 06:27 PM

Have you ever driven a Miata with a Rotrex?

thenuge26 06-25-2013 06:29 PM

Look dude, you can come in here and whine your heart out, we are all bitchy gay car drivers. But starting that shit here will not end well for you.

Wait nevermind, you were talking to 18PSI, our new Supercharger Queen! :riaa:

Fireindc 06-25-2013 06:30 PM

Have you ever been fucked by a trans-gender with a strapon?

Wastemore 06-25-2013 06:36 PM

Fun fact!

Being fucked by a trans-gender with a strapon was never mentioned before you decided to share your experience and it sounds like you're excited about it!!

So, how was it?

Wastemore 06-25-2013 06:39 PM

Yep, and I'm just complaining.

I've been perusing this site for quite awhile and I'm not unfamiliar with the douchebaggery...I expect it.

I still don't get why you are here? Did we do this to you? Do you want us to do something for your? Just complaining isn't really a reason.

It was about as pleasurable as a miata with a rotrex, but the trans-gender made more "torque" if you know what I mean. Let's just say you could feel it in the seat of your pants more.

Wastemore 06-25-2013 08:15 PM

The Rotrex was purchased for my wife, who happens to be a fairly inexperienced driver on the course and who doesn't need to be frightened by a wall of torque. I quite enjoy having my wife participate in motorsports with me and find it wise to keep the drive largely uneventful until she's garnered more seat time.

Thanks for sharing the 'strap-on' experience.

Now I see. You're bitter because you have a jacked-up, poorly running turbo car with "gobs of torque".
Sweet! How's that detonation working out for you? Bet that's a kick in the pants.

LOL, dude we're just bored and trolling you. No need to defend yourself or your purchase. Any FI miata is better than an NA miata, and an NA miata is still awesome in my book.

I know how this site works, I expected it. I am quite capable of trolling back and defending myself against douchebaggery.

Welcome to like 3 years ago.

And yes it sucks balls. About the only 2 excuses one can use for owning it is:
1) its dead nuts reliable
2) its super easy to install

Joe Perez 06-26-2013 12:32 AM

Kraftwerks still exists?

FRT_Fun 06-26-2013 12:47 AM

For the low low price of $4k you could have 150lb/ft of torque.

Wastemore 06-26-2013 01:43 AM

It wasn't near 4k and it's 157/ft lbs.

I get it, they produce little usable torque.
Don't tell anyone, but I'm a turbo guy at heart. I've owned plenty of turbo cars- My current being a 363whp Speed3. This is my first belt driven compressor, so we'll see how it goes.

Besides, it's not a Greddy system, so it should run longer than 2k miles without a complete overhaul.

What is it you need from this Kraftwerks kit that buying an OEM rotrex and DIY-ing it won't get you? Charge pipes and IC can be had off ebay for ~$150, you don't need a machine shop to make them for you.

TNTUBA 06-26-2013 09:31 AM

Wouldn't this be a great time for a piece of rhubarb pie?

Yes, nothing gets the taste of shame and humiliation out of your mouth quite like Bebop-A-Reebop Rhubarb Pie, and Rhubarb Pie filling.

Bebop-A-Reebop. Look for it in the freezer case at your local supermarket, and at Ralph's Pretty Good Grocery; "If you can't find it at Ralph's, you can probably get along (pretty good) without it."

Why not just have your wife track the car N/A? The recipe for an extremely quick, extremely reliable NA track/race miata is well documented on this site.
If your wife is that inexperienced she doesn't really need a supercharged track car. She'll be a better driver in the long run if she learns to drive with 145whp/115wtq...

Excellent point.

I suppose I should be more clear.

We share the car, so I needed to add some power for me and not frighten her.
I felt that while the Rotrex is not exactly what I want in terms of gains, it would be a decent compromise. My wife doesn't drive in the upper RPM range so the car(for the most part) will act largely stock with little to no torque wall she has to contend with. Any amount of power I can add for me will be much appreciated.

There are other less important reasons as well-

Bullet-proof.
We live in California, so R&R will be fairly painless for smog.

Good suggestion. Thanks.

Nice try, Homo. I would MUCH rather have a Greddy kit than a Rotrex. A modded Greddy kit can easily make stock-block venting power and can be pieced together for peanuts.

Edit: LOL @ wife. You faggette

Edit 2: It's cool to see that you and your husband are tracking the car together(I assume you're the bottom due to supercharger). Post some pics.

Ian 06-26-2013 12:47 PM

Isn't this the same guy that complained about 15 hours of labor every 2 years for smog, but he still wants to track the car? Mildly entertaining at best.

Joe Perez 06-26-2013 01:35 PM

I'm still trying to come to grips with the fact that we appear to be having a semi-serious discussion about Kraftwerks and Rotrex, as if these two companies were somehow relevant to "serious" engine performance.

18psi 06-26-2013 01:37 PM

There is a semi-serious part to this discussion? I'm not seeing it

Wastemore 06-26-2013 02:57 PM

Savington,
I laughed in real life as well. It was a good one.

The car is a '99 with Ca smog garbage.

A modded Greddy kit..because they didn't get them right the first time.

You caught me, I'm gay. I wasn't until I purchased a Rotrex. You must be one of them psychic people who can mysteriously realize the unseen.

OP, maybe contact Track Dog Racing, they are working on some Rotrex upgrades.

Irrelevant. A balls to the wall greddy kit would still be much cheaper than the shitwerks kit and actually be able to vent block. Speaking of not getting it right the first time...kettle meet pot.

Wannafbody- Yeah, I put in a call to them yesterday and I'm awaiting a call back. They are significantly more than Kraftwerks as far as cost and I'm not certain why.

Thanks for the heads-up.
