Link ECU for miata 1.8

Hello,

Anybody knows if you can use the miata link ECU for 1994-95 1.8 engine on a 1991 1.6 engine?

i know you can use a 1.6 on a 1.8 with some mods. I forget if it works the same way in reverse.
