Hey man, looks great. Your hood doesn't fit right though, you might want to look into that.

Braineack 11-27-2012 12:19 PM

omg. your hood is br0ke.

Savington 11-27-2012 01:46 PM

Take the goddamn hood risers off, please.

hustler 11-27-2012 02:01 PM

Nice hood risers, troglodyte. Black wheels look like shit on dark green cars.

rleete 11-27-2012 02:06 PM

Can't you just feel the love?

18psi 11-27-2012 02:09 PM

Hood risers are for hood rats

RedCarmel 11-27-2012 02:13 PM

Hey, did you know your hood doesn't look right?

y8s 11-27-2012 02:17 PM

What is it about humanity that when a few people get together to criticize another person those few people become an angry lynchmob?

Braineack 11-27-2012 02:28 PM

At least we dont bring mortars and AK-47s to the peaceful protest.

thenuge26 11-27-2012 02:30 PM

You can't come to the Mos Eisley Spaceport of car forums with hood risers and expect everything to go OK.

hustler 11-27-2012 02:35 PM

The car looked 10x better on silver wheels.

Take this thread more seriously.

The forum also has a few bad qualities.

Fireindc 11-27-2012 03:03 PM

Agreed on the silver wheels, but it could just be the pics. At least it was plasti-dipped so he can go back if he decides to.

I actually really like his car, but the clubricer hood risers kill any car i see them on. If OP likes it, i guess that's all that matters though. Just a quick note for the OP, those risers were found to not be functional at all for the purpose of heat extraction.

mgeoffriau 11-27-2012 03:04 PM

Car looks great with the changes!

But the order of your pictures seem to be reversed. Need to fix that.

Braineack 11-27-2012 03:05 PM

bro, it's really important that the engine bay doesn't get hot, even if it means to marginalize the cooling system.

thenuge26 11-27-2012 03:12 PM

Duh, that's why I didn't put the plastic undertray back on after doing my suspension. To get more air on the engine to cool it down.

18psi 11-27-2012 03:20 PM

I removed my radiators to get more airflow to the engine.

Braineack 11-27-2012 03:24 PM

Bausmode.

hustler 11-27-2012 03:32 PM

I removed my sex organs.

You can talk shit all you want, I won't listen unless you can drive way-under the SM record.

thenuge26 11-27-2012 04:06 PM

What's the SM record for parking?

Also props to OP for not getting his jimmies rustled like I expected.

dustinb 11-27-2012 11:15 PM

OP, your hood is broken.

Jdilla 11-27-2012 11:48 PM

Ha ha ha... wasn't expecting that many haters on the hood spacer. Guess that's my incentive to take them off, I definitely got the car with them on. lol. They are going off.

we're all about function>form here. Those spacers have been proven to be failaids, which is why we gave you so much s hit about them :giggle:

I still want to see some better pics of the car in the day to judge the wheel color.

Gold/bronze rims on a green MX5 is pure car sex appeal though.

- won't bother mentioning the "hood riser fail" since you now appreciate their uselessness.

I'll quote this so I don't have to mention how good gold/bronze wheels look on green and how the hoodrisers are so pointless that I cannot even construct a well articulated insult aimed at their existence and those who think they have some kind of function.

The only real functionality I can see is that whoever built this car put the intake real close the the vented section of the hood... probably in hopes to pull in fresh cold air. You can tell heat is escaping from the vent due to the mere fact that you can see air condensate around the lower part of the windshield on a cold day.

dont dig the hole, just don't. You don't need this on your plate.

condense: verb
Condensate: noun

tpwalsh 11-29-2012 09:11 AM

<wonders what hood risers would do if there wasn't a pesky windshield to get in the way>

Jdilla 11-29-2012 09:13 AM

:pitlab: i'm not trying to they are going off I just have to figure out what to do witht he intake... i'll take a better pic to show what I mean.

thenuge26 11-29-2012 09:15 AM

Who cares about the intake. You don't need a CAI, you have a turbo. Want 5 more hp? Turn the boost up.

Jdilla 11-29-2012 09:20 AM

True True true!!!! I'll see what I can do. As far as boost goes i'm running about 14 psi spiking at 16, I wouldn't feel comfortable turning it up anymore w/o meth inj. :skid:

Braineack 11-29-2012 10:19 AM

you dont know the difference between a verb or a noun? or you dont know what each even is?

18psi 11-29-2012 10:20 AM

his mind is full of fuck

Fireindc 11-29-2012 10:53 AM

This thread is classic mt.net. GJ not getting butthurt, OP. Any pics of the turbo setup on that slut?

I kinda like the black wheels but dear god get rid of the hood riser...

Jdilla 11-30-2012 11:18 AM

Don't worry hoodrisers going off after autocross tomorrow... it's funny how all the people with no lives troll forums and try to give grammar lessons. I really don't know how the forum has made it so far with all of these 45 year old miata driving a$sholes criticizing every sentence i put on a forum. If I wanted a grammar lesson I would go back to clemson, then back to med school. You old troll's will never amount to anything, so get a life and get off my threads. If I want your opinion directly i'll ask you immature old fooksticks.

:gtfo:

Jdilla 11-30-2012 11:20 AM

Thanks to everyone that liked i though, I love the car. I found a really big boost leak that had been getting worse, so bad my intercooler piping blew off the intercooler. Hooked it back up, nothing but super smooth acceleration all the way to redline.

lol, most the people trolling you are under 30.

If you want to get trolled by old people, go to miata.net.

If you'd rather hang out with young hipsters that don't give a fuck about grammar, hard data, or knowledge in general - go to clubroadster.net.

If you want to go fast, learn shit, and probably get flamed, stay here.

I'll have you know I stopped playing PC games in my mom's basement for long enough to troll you.

Kidding, I was playing them in my own basement.

That's because this place doesn't revolve around you.

See the millions of threads with actual data in them, rather than "immature young fucksticks" (you can swear on the internet it's ok) showing off their plastidip and hoodrisers. If you haven't read the recent thread about ignition timing by JoeP, I suggest you do so. It is fascinating, and I don't even have a standalone to adjust my timing yet.

I can't even fathom how you'd mis-spell "assholes" like that with the "$" sign. Not only is it NOT next to the "S," you have to hit a second key as well! It's like willfully being stupid!

Jdilla 11-30-2012 11:39 AM

figured i would be banned for using "inappropriate language" or some gay shit like that

thenuge26 11-30-2012 11:40 AM

It's a miata forum. You would be banned for doing straight shit.
