Shopping for forged pistons, oil pump and a few other things. Looked around at the usual race and parts shops but have been very surprised that there don't seem to be any July 4th sales.

Wow, no one knows of any sales either? All these aftermarket companies must be flush with money and have no need to offer a sale or do a give-back to customers. Interesting, and definitely a bit surprised.

Maybe these economic times are better than I realized.

 

I don't think I ever ever seen July 4th sales in the car industry. I have only done it I think once in a decade of being in the business, and that was when I was specifically launching new things.
