I love my lotus seats. They are mounted on stock sliders, yet still put me lower and further back than the OEM seats by quite a bit. The ones I have were already cut for harnesses, so I may end up adding them. They also have adjustable lumbar support with a hand pump.

Terrible pic

When you say stock sliders... you mean stock lotus sliders or miata sliders? Did they bolt right in or need some significant creativity? I seem to remember people having to build custom mounts for them, if they bolt in that would certainly make them a lot more desirable.

I do not find the Kirkey seats particularly comfortable and have added lots of aftermarket foam pads to make the drive tolerable going to and from AutoX events.

I have a feeling you also dont fit well into the 17" kirkey. Its very body shape dependent. I love my 15.5 economy but bet I would hate the 17.

The ones i bought were already mounted to OEM rails using this bracket design:

I end up with the Marrad seats from Goodwin. They are a bit pricey, but include the base and slider, it works out the same as a fiberglass Sparco with base and slider. They bolt in with no welding, although it takes me 30 minutes to get the passenger seat back in.

It does not look like that seat has a provision for lap belts in the pictures on Good-Win's site. Is that accurate?

Do you mean intermediate? It doesn't look like you could use the stock seat-belts with the economy series...

On no the stock belts work great with the economy. The cut for the lap belt is very deep, even string beans are held by it.

I do DD the 3-series. Getting in and out of the Sparcos is more cumbersome than a stock seat or an Elise seat due to the sides, but not overly arduous. Then again, I am efficiently packaged (~5'7", 160 lbs) and fairly agile. There is definitely a technique to it, and I have a quick release steering wheel which does help.

The seats are not the most comfortable things in the world, but I've driven them hundreds of miles at a time (from central FL to Roebling and back).

The focus of my car is probably 80% track and 20% street. If those were flipped, I'd consider spending more money on an Elise-style seat (like the Corbeau LE).

The Corbeau LE is the Elise seat, anyone have a source in the states for these? They seem to be a Europe only seat.

With the cushions in they are daily drivable, I did two 9 hour trips each way in them. Without the cushions they'll get your head under the bar. They have the proper holes for a 5-Point. I use some of the special seat foam from Pegasus Racing for track days.

They're a compromise seat, not the best daily seat, not the best racing seat, but will work for a car that does both.

I second this. I have a Marrad drivers seat in my 01. I constantly drive long distances in it and I find it more comfortable than the stock leather one was by a mile.

I really liked Keith's work with the 914 seats:

899.00 for one in cloth plus 120.00 is shipping yikes!

I completely agree. I only bought it because I was really flush with cash right about this time last year. I look back and wonder how I did it, but the seat was worth it. Mostly.

Would someone be able to tell if these would fit in an NA Miata?

Great looking seat, and have heard if your under a 34' waist then they are pretty comfortable, plus it has the red stitching which I like.

Holy $700 seats. Hard to drop the coin for a seat I've never sat in. Wish there was a place around here that stocked seat to try out. Speed shop in Italy has one of each Sparco to test in. Miss it. Curious how the Ssparco speed fits

Ya I need to find a place that carries these seats in my area.
