The last Mazda using the rotary, which won fans with its ability to generate more power than traditional power plants of the same size, will roll off the assembly line this month at the company’s Hiroshima factory and headquarters.

The only good thing the Mazda rotary ever brought us was a good roller for an LS1 swap.... The FD.

I'd sorta dig an RX-8 with an LS swap. Given their cheapness with good bodies and interiors, and good handling seems like a good market for a swap company (not Hinson).

 

If there is one thing I think of when I hear "rotary" it's power.

 

So will Speed Source start racing MZR-R powered Miatas in GT? That would be awesome.
