Kinda late to the thread. I live downriver, and when the car runs i make it up to the woodward area on the weekends. I'm always down to meet up anytime, anywhere.
I know a few of us here are members on xceed. The xceedspeed BBQ is coming up this next month (june 9th at kensington) and will be huge, i invite any who want to come.

This Saturday, i'll be at the xceedspeed BBQ @ kensington metropark. There should be over 400 cars there. I think i'm the only turbo miata that will be there, maybe even the only miata. Not sure, the last few years i've been the only miata.
It's kind of late notice, but for those interested.

I have Wednesdays and Sundays off now, I haven't been to milan yet this year. I would go with you for a test and tune.
I wouldn't mind going soon, before I install the 3in exhaust so I can compare before/after.

It was nice to see all the miatas that did show up the other day to the xceed BBQ. There were i think 4 of us turbo miatas, as well as 3 or 4 N/A ones.
The turbo miata community is strong in metro Detroit. Plus there are quite a few more in the talks of going turbo very soon.

I'm driving out to Hell just for fun on the 30th in the morning with some friends. Probably meet up at the compuware center around 9-9:30am. Anyone can join.

We are having a little gearhead/pre Woodward cruise GTG
tomorrow from 4-7 pm in our little Clawson studio.
You are cordially invited as my guest to attend, talk tech, get some swag and have a burger!

Despite being in many pieces, my car is fine. (I presume you saw my partout thread) I didn't wreck it or anything--I blew the transmission a while ago and decided to do something different. It's something that I have been wanting to do ever since I first heard that it could be done. That something involves one of those nifty GM aluminium block v8's.
This is what my car looked like yesterday when I did a quick test fit to gauge bell housing clearance. I go back to school soon so at this point I'm trying finish the chassis preparation and amass a hefty parts stash so that I can get a nice chunk of work done over my lengthy winter break.

edit: Here's more on the build: http://www.cgbagne.com/theturtlebuild/

I've been lurking here snatching up tidbits of info when I could.
Was in an accident in May, been rebuilding since then. Switched from SC to turbo in the process. Now i'm glad to hear that there are a few turbo'd Miatas in Motown. I'm on the east-side and wouldn't mind meeting with some like minds.
