I got one of those for christmas, honestly that thing is going to be one of the most used gifts I ever got. Its absolutly wonderful.

 

I've got oil...dot 3/4 fluid...fix-a-flat...towels...jack/cheater bar/tire iron...um? other stuff I can't think of.

 

+1 on the LED flashlight. No more having a dead hooker in the trunk!

I think this is a great post! I've been needing to setup a new toolbox for my car, as I used to have one for my motorcycle. I'm going to actually buy the tools you've listed, well the ones in the first post, some of the others I can live without.

 

Lots of good stuff. But if you are going to have a dead hooker in the trunk, you will have to have a hacksaw as well.

 

I thought it went with out saying that the dead hooker would be in pieces, otherwise it's absurd.

 

good thing about dead trunk hookers, you really don't need all the pieces to be happy.

 

Can you imagine how well dead hooker jokes would go over on Miata.net?

Someone should start this thread "How do you fit dead prostitutes in your trunk?" I suspect the whine and cheesers would choke on their cheese.

actually I keep very little in my car for tools:

fix-a-flat
jumper cables (but those might come out)
stock lug wrench / lug key
maybe a stubby phillips for headlight adjustments

that's all. better to make it reliable.

 

WHAT???? you can't be serious! After all this money and time I've put into this car you're saying it should be reliable?

Some cardboard (lays flat under the hooker in the trunk) so you have something to lie on and not have to clean your interior the next day.

 

The funny thing about tools in the trunk, were not even talking about BMW's or GM cars...

I don't even carry a screwdriver...

My dream kit would be:

1. 12 pk (Sammy A this time of year)
2. Cell phone w/ wireless Inet to post up here that I'm stuck in NE Maine...(and maybe somenoe can tell me what is wrong w/ my car)
3. 50AE for protection while drinking and waiting for either another beer truck or help from the i-net...
