Only people who can afford to fix/replace it if they damage it.

Only people I know can/will pay for damage.
So two of my friends.. I've let them each drive it once.
I was in the passenger seat with the one.
The other friend, who I trust more with cars drove it while I drove my fathers corvette.
We needed to see which was faster/more fun

I'll let just about anybody drive my car. It's insured. And if something breaks, it was gonna break regardless of who was driving it.

I'll let girls have a try, and it usually means in a parking lot. Only one gf I let take it out on the road and I was a nervous wreck. I let one guy I worked with drive it once, mainly because he wouldn't leave me alone about wanting to take it, he was thoroughly impressed.

I let a bunch of people drive it, but only if I know their driving style. There are a lot of people who don't know what to do with oversteer, and they don't get to drive a turbo miata.

Generally speaking... I'll let anyone who has driven a turboed car drive the miata; but only if they understand that the car can kill them if they don't keep up with it. It's topless, RWD, and breaks traction easily... you mess up in this thing and it's gonna leave a mark!

It's fun watching the expressions on people's faces when they really smack it in the *** for the first time. My father gassed it for about 15 seconds, pulled over and gave it back to me. Said he liked his Accord better... his Accord never tried to kill him like "Trixie" did.

Oh, I love this car!!!

Cheers,
Prospero

It's just a miata, not a ferrari or anything. I'm more concerned about someone hurting themselves than hurting the car. I've let people drive my car in the past, and will again in the future. Chances are if you have to ask to drive it, you are not one of thoes people that gets to drive it.

Taught my gf how to drive stick in it, in a big empty parking lot, then let her drive it back and forth between our houses a couple times. She hates it unless shes driving it.

Yes I've let other people who I feel are competent and capable drive my miatas including the 2 turbo cars I've had. They're just miatas. I've let people joy ride or borrow every car I've owned I'm sure. They're just street cars.

I do not let other people ride my bikes, with exception to my father.

the people who worked on it, johnwag, my sister, and the people I'm paying to "make sure its reliable." Besides, Johnwag and I have to trade cars at the track and see who's suspension reigns supreme.

Just about anybody. Standard caveats. Must be a friend, relative or fellow auto enthusiast. Must have a reasonable head on their shoulders. Must have the ability to pay for mistakes.

I have only let one person drive my car since it was turboed,it was one of the employee's from a local miata specialist shop, all 3 times I was in the passenger seat, all 3 times were test & tune sessions.

I won't let anyone drive my car unless they have the money to pay for it.

It's a very short list. My two best friends have driven it, but neither without me in the passenger seat. I've let two people drive it at autocrosses, and my dad's been on track with it. I've also traded keys a couple of times with thesnowboarder.

I foolishly let a cute girl drive it once, but she slept with me afterwards. Not sure if I'd do that trade again, if that's an indicator of how stingy I am with the keys.
