As promised I'm reporting on the comfort of the start seat. I drove from Atlanta, GA to Knoxville, Tn then the the Gap. Almost 5 hours of driving. The seat was VERY comfortable in fact more comfortable than the stock seat. I always start cramping up in the stock seat after about a 1/2 hour. With that said. the Momo will stay in permanently.

Got a question for the NA guys. I have seen some pictures of the early NA seat belts and they look to me like they are just a piece of webbing connecting the latch to the mount bracket, covered with a plastic sheath.

One, is that the case, and so if the plastic sheath was cut away it would just be a latch connected to the mount bracket with webbing? Two, will the NB buckle work with the NA latch? If both of these are true it could be the perfect solution to the inboard lap belt routing problem.

OK never mind, I think I found what I need, and answered my own question at the same time...

Finish Line / Rosenthal Mazda Parts & Accessories :: Miata / MX-5 :: Interior :: Seat Belt Extender

Notice the year range. Looks like the NA and NB latches are cross-compatible.

so you say that these + stock sliders are within 1 inch of stock seat height? Is that within 1 inch up or down? They aren't higher are they?

I think they are the same, but I cannot be sure within a tolerance of much more than +/-1". It is hard to tell because the stock seat foam compresses more. If anything, the Momos are a little lower, particularly along the front edge of the seat. I suppose I could do a head height measurement, but even that would be dependent on driver weight.

Hope that helps.

ya thats fair. That kinda estimate is close enough. I'm just worried that they'll be higher than my seat with the foamectomy. I want a new seat so badly cause my stocker sucks *** in the comfort area but cannot bolt a seat to the floor :(

When I mounted my Momo side mount to a stock rail it was higher then the stock seat.
