more indeciveness...used fm vs new bell s3
I've been pretty dead set on a begi s3. A guy hit me up today offering an old FM kit with no fuel for $2000, with a 99 intake plenum with an adapter for a 1.6...which fits my sittuation. The used kit also has a bigger fmic with pipes similar to the new FM kit. I think $2k is a little high, and will offer up %1500 for starters.
Is the extra $1800 worth a new bell kit with the additional sheetmetal parts, and hard water lines? I want to be confident that the car will make it to and from the track...even if I drive it to a track 5 hours away. Thanks for the advice...I appreciate the experience and extensive knowledge. |
I have an idea.....how about you stop making threads about all the potential turbo kits you might buy and instead just go and buy a kit and suprise us all with a thread and pics of the turbo kit that you actually went out and bought, instead of just posting about buying a kit.

:robert: Because I want to spend the money right, rather than deal with the bullshit I went through last time. |

If you want to do it right and not go through with the bullshit, then you should just buy the complete BEGi S3 kit and be done with it.
If your still undecided if you want to go with a full kit or partial kit,we have given you more than enough info on this topic. So starting thread after thread after thread on which route is better or what should I do,does not help you anymore cause you still are not taking any action on making a solid decision and following through with it,or is it cause your too cheap to spend the money. Philip we need a Dr.Phil smiley for topics like this. |
get the begi kit. sweet talk steph into custom powder coating everything to match your shit.
hidden costs: all the misc hardware that the used kit wont have that begi will give you with your new kit. I bet it's over $100 easy. |
Yeah- buy a bell kit and have them install it. That would elminiate the issues of risk you're concerned about. You'd have something that you could have serviced if there was a problem. Just buy the most you can get for your budget.

so theres none of this:vash: about something silly. |
Buy the complete kit and be done with you. You have the $flow but you don't have the time to screw around with a used kit that might need replacement parts. Get the kit and install it, then never look back.

for the money you make i would have a 2 L stroker with a hydra and a turnkey turbo built/installed by FM. It seems kind of funny how people who make 1/3 or less than you do and still make there cars turbo, and figure this stuff out. Is our money any less preciuse or usefull than yours honestly hustler if you want a turbo get it if you dont then stop making threads on this crap. It is only 2-3 weeks of pay for you deal with it. alot of us put 2-3 months of pay on the line with our turbo systems.
