Just got back from the shop. They crush bent the piping becuase i was to cheap ass for mandrel but i figure its 3" piping so even at the crushed part its still bigger than needed. Yes it it very loud and i dont care becuase 1. I get turned into a LOT 2. Im 19 (I like loud things) and its soon to have a legit 260+ wheel hp so it will have the speed to match the sound 3.it was cheap and i have the stock racing beat exhuast system + cat if i get sick of it. I might try that, but I found that when I was dumping right after my midpipe fumes were getting into the cabin. It dumped barely after the diff. I fabed a little turndown and the fumes are fine now, but I wonder how they would be if you were dumping like directly under you.

If you cut it anywhere under the car before the rear axle the sound goes strait into the cabin instead of out the back. Then it's REALLY loud, if it goes near the rear of the car it is tolerable.

You don't know loud until you've driven your miata with open headers to the exhaust shop. It would make your exhaust sound lexus quiet in comparison. Case closed.

Try an N/A rotary with no exhaust if you like loud.

Try a stripped out Alfa GTV6 for 3000 miles after having the exhaust torn off after the header. Loud, even with earplugs in under noise-cancelling headphones.

I ran five laps at sebring in a stripped NB with just an open header... does that count? ;)

Weird... when my car was N/A and I tried to just run my header and midpipe I couldn't get enough backpressure at all. Yall's ran without backpressure problems?

There is this guy around my area that has a 90 something Camaro. I don't know what he has done to it, but that thing is fucking LOUD under full throttle. We were all parked off on the side of Woodward and he went by WOT, I had to cover my ears because it hurt.

Anyone can save up or do sexual favors for their rich daddy and buy a car with a turbo. Real pride comes when you build your own turbo kit and actually understand how your car works because of it. If I had the chance to go back and buy a pre-made kit, I still wouldn't do it (I could've from the start , but thankfully chose not to). The knowledge gained and money saved are much more valuable to me than a "better, decent setup".
