Default NA Headlight Options

Im pretty sure no one here is a fan of the way the headlights look on the NA and upon doing some research i found this and wanted to know what you think.

http://keith.miata.net/lights.html

Cliffs:
Put 9006 halogen headlight bulbs where the turn signals are currently located.

Apparently the 9006 bulbs are a direct fit for where the current turn signals are

What i would do different is to splice the connectors for 9006 bulbs into the OEM connector and possibly get rid of the the turn signals all together. Also, if this works out well then maybe do a HID conversion on the 9006 bulbs.

The cons are:
I will only have low beams
I will not be able to aim the lights

Does anyone know of a hi/low bulb that has the same pattern?

I'm working on putting the euro 323 headlight in the front bumper, extending the hole up and inwards.

It's big, and may not work.

I actually like the look of pop-ups on the 1st gen miata, they look like they belong there.

The ones on the 3000gt were horrible though- looked so much cleaner with fixed lights.
