My dad has a v-band muffler/straight pipe for the track. Works great.

 

You guys also all have turbos which muffle a huge amount of sound. I am at 97ish by my measurement. I am not going by theirs. So this 18" resonator should be enough. If it's not I'll just get a thing to sick in the end for autox

 

I have a supercharger, no cat, and a borla dual axle back. The bish was loud! Raspy, drone, nasty loud. The exhaust sounded good through maybe 100 out of my 7000 RPMs used. I added a Vibrant Ultra Quite 2 1/4 inch resonator. I seriously doubted it's ability to shut my car up but it's perfect. I can't say enough good things about the little guy.

Thread is relevant to my interests in that I want to add a resonator to cut drone without changing overall tone or volume too much.

I added the 3" version of that Vibrant ultra quiet resonator to my car and it made a huge difference. That's with a turbo, a cat, and a large magnaflow too. It moved the drone from 3k RPM to 2k RPM and dropped it in volume a lot, and also surprisingly it quieted down the car at idle enormously.
