Default Need advice on Miata Turbo

Hello All, I have been lurking on here for a while now but I need some advice.
I am trying to decide on a NA or NB Miata turbo.
Here is my dillema and questions:
I test drove a stock 2001 miata and was not at all impressed with the power.
I like the idea of a turbo miata but I would like to know the driving impressions from someone who has the FMII or BEGI setup at around 9-12psi. What is it like?

Thank you!

I have driven both, but it sounds like you need to find a local turbo miata to ride in or drive.

Edit: I'm not even going to help you here. You've obviously done zero research and have no idea what you're looking for.

250whp miata will make that vw feel like a slow turd.

You need to get a motorcycle.

The vw will always get you to work. The Miata will be faster and more fun.

Straight lines suck. Redefine what's fun. Failing that, get a Mustang/Camaro.

I am kinda surprised that you don't find the miata fun to drive even at stock power.

If you are looking for something that goes fast in a straight line, DON'T BUY A MIATA.

There are much cheaper ways.

Thanks for the input...I was hoping to get descriptions of personal experiences with turbo miatas and how they compare to other cars.
I do have a motorcycle... but want a cheap, small RWD car that is fun to drive. My number 1 goal is FUN to DRIVE. Speed/power is only part of that equation.. but since I drove the stock miata and was not impressed, I thought that adding power would help the situation.

You haven't done a ton of research. GTFO

VW Gti or Turbo Miata?

Did you also consider a mini cooper vs Corvette?

What about a geo metro vs ariel atom?

This is easily one of the most technical and information packed forum on the net. We have everything from weekend enthusiast to champion racers and everything in between. I started out here as a ******* supercharger loving homo who couldn't even wire a ******* powercard, now I'm in the midst of building a 450whp car that will idle perfectly in traffic with the a/c blowing cold and still get 30mpg.

But we don't cater to the noobs who come in here and ask retarded questions and get butt hurt when we don't give them exactly what they want. You're obviously not a child, so stop acting like one and grow up.

Or you can stomp around like an angry 6 year old and head back to VW land and you can get answers about which "stage" is best for you to waste money on.

...and then he can get you to help him install his 100$ ebay exhaust on the GTI?

Who said anything about RWD or fun?

An overweight, slow econobox (GTI) is none of those things.

Test drove a stock 2012 GTI (wanted to like DSG... I didn't), I couldn't keep traction from a stop... on the test drive. Not even full throttle.
