Default Using Washer with Aluminum Flywheels

Noticed that the OEM flywheel bolts tend to chew up my Fidanza flywheel when torqueing up. Wondered if anyone puts a hardened M12 washer in there to spread the load/preserve the flywheel. Would that be OK or would it result in certain death? There seems to be enough clearance for clutch operation.

You could probably get a very thin shim washer that would work. I'm ok with the idea as long as you use new bolts with the red goop on them. They do have that right?

I typically clean the bolts really well and reinstall with Permatex thread sealant. Have never had an issue. Think I'll abandon the washer thought though. Just stick with what I know works. Would suck to have to drop the tranny to fix something like this.
