Default New Car - Supercharged Idle Issue

Ill start by saying hello because I'm new here and I'm having a good old dig around to see what's about.

Then I'll explain why im here. I bought my dads old 98 1.8 MX5 (UK) off him just over a year ago. As you do fell in with the car, but always felt I wanted more power (don't we all) so started looking down the forced induction route. Compiled a list of things I wanted to do before I got there. Clutch, Diff, Roll Bar, Wheels etc... all started adding up. ££££ then I came across my most recent purchase. A 1998 Jap import with a 2004 1.8VVT in the front and a Eaton MP45 supercharger on the side. Megasquirt ECU and around 168rwp. Car had had a full respray, clearly done well and I got it for a good price so thought why not as it put me in a better starting point for what I wanted for a lot less money.

Right... sorry for the dribble... car runs well and is wicked fun apart from one thing I've noticed. Once the cars warm and is in idle it likes to drop down below 500rpm and occasionally cuts out. Could any of you point me in the right direction of where to look for info/ help me from personal experience etc... Instead of me winging it and potentially damaging something i thought I'd reach out to those further down line for a little help.

Cheers

Welcome
You have a common/known issue with roots blowers. You'll likely need to jack up the idle or run a dual throttle body setup to fix it.
