Just refinished my wheels and added some new parts so decide to take some new pictures. Wheels were shotpeened, prep & painted with all PPG's best, and finished off with PPG's fix-n-flat at 20% eggshell gloss & some anodized blue lug nuts.

thats hot shit. I didnt think a miata could look that great with that color but it works.

Looks great, i like the wheels alot better than that white.

Hard to say as I've actually measured but compaired to the H&R springs I had before about 2.5-2.75".

Normally I do not like blue but I agree, your car looks really nice! Excellent work.

Basics; fronts still have good travel but rears were on bumpstops basicly. Stay tuned as I hope to have some really sick top hats avilable soon. Will accept the entire body of the coilover and will retain stock shock travel even at my ride height. Only down fall is some mods to the sheetmetal in the trunk will be required but very minamal.

Oooh, new tophats. Compatible with my Flex? Sheetmetal cutting doesn't scare me.

Should be...they would have been done months ago but I lost intrest and well you know how that goes. I will also have them available for Koni's, etc, and I think we can make those clear without cutting anything.

Odd.. You basically take several images of the exact same thing from the same angle at different exposures and merge them together. Its supposed to delete shadows and dark spots in some places, enhance contrast, etc..

Guess you didn't use that. :)

In that case I guess you could say yes. Except I did it off one exposure and one photo. Changed the exposures etc in photoshop cutting what i want to change out etc. Takes about 30-60min a photo to do 100% correctly and obviously would have a huge range in which to alter to your likings.

So technically, Yeah. You should check out using PS to do that for you, a lot of the results are the same. :D Looks killer, btw!

Post pics of your engine bay and the post processed pics too.

Put me on the list for a set, im basically on my bumps in the rear as well at 12.0 hub to fender height :P im about to raise it because i hate the ride quality. 11.5 in the front looks soooo nice thoe:

talking about Smurf..I saw a blue with white top Toyota FJ cruiser that was driving next to a smurf blue Miata..It was pretty funny to see both right next to each other. I can totally see a smurf blue FJ towing Miata for track event.

I must say that you have one of the best looking miatas on earth, I wish my car was that sexy. And the wheels are very nice too.

And about the ride height, I am at around 12 in the front I think, and maybe .5-1" higher in the rear, but I have plenty of travel with NB bumpstops for that height. Any lower would be impossible to use in my situation, I already clench my buttox whenever I see a rock on a canyon, or a bumpy section/pothole.

The I just turned 176k yesturday....the car's may D.D. and altough the paint does look good for how old it is (not sure if it's orignal or not) it's still got imperfections and love bug scars. If anyone hasn't tried it yet I'm using Meguires Color X Wax which is for Oxidized Paint; Works Wonders!

Do you track your car offen? I'll be getting an extra stock tophat tomarrow to get measurements off of and were still deciding on the best method for the shock shaft travel on the mounts. I was thinking a spherical bearing, incased around rubber or polly bushings, incased around two grade 8 washers. But we think the spherical bearing might make some noise. Simpler version of that would be the same setup minus the spherical bearing.

dude how did you find the kosei k1's in 15x8 ive been searching for like 6 years for those and never came up with them. oh yeah sweet car gives me some hope for my car seeing is that the color is the same and wheels are to except 15x7

Interesting that he joined up in Sep of 2007, made two asinine posts, disappeared for a whole year, and then felt compelled to resurface and participate in eight additional threads between 11:39 and 11:56 last night. So he'll be taking a little time-out period now.

Jesse, in case you happen to read this when you get back, Rota RBs in 15x8 are available brand new for $550 (including shipping) from 18racing.com, in the correct offset and in any color. Why the hell is anyone going to pay the exact same amount to some guy who appears to be a spam artist?

If you just joined, and plan on putting up ten one-sentence posts so you can access the classifieds, at least try to make sure that the threads you're posting in aren't six months old. We notice that sort of thing even faster than when you do it in "normal" ongoing threads, and within the space of half an hour.
