This may be a noob question but, what caused the explosion? I thought nitrous could only do damage by causing your engine to run extremely lean.

 

nitrous is an oxidizer man IT makes everything boom bigger.

I know that, i mean i am not a total , but why did it blow up like that? Was there some sort of leak then finally ignited or something or was that purely detonation from inside the engine?

Nitrous is cool, what the hell, anything is cool even putting a Jet engine on the trunk of the car. If you can afford filling that baby bottle every five seconds, so be it, better you than me.

To me Nitrous AKA NOS (LOL), is like been addicted to crack, heroin, meth and Kool-Aid at the same time and on top of that getting a table dance from some hot las vegas chick for half a second.

Its your money, nobody is saying huge chunks of power cannot be achieved with "NOS", but I prefer free lunch money anytime...

I say this to try and explain to most unknowing people that Nitrous is not a combustible fuel as in you can not light it on fire alone.

 

The car on the motor will already outrun many of the starter turbo cars out there. I use nitrous for the drag strip.
