Default noob intro, future plans

Howdy,

My name is Damon, this is my car:

It is a '92 SE, but we replaced the original top with a black one several years ago.

I had just picked it up from the storage building it was in since my little brother blew the motor in it last year. This car has been passed around my family for over a decade now, and it was mine several years ago, when I nursed the original motors to nearly 200k miles for a couple of years.

It hasn't been treated as well since.

I just finished replacing the motor with another stock 1.6L, next up is a suspension upgrade as the car handles nothing like it used to.

I plan to start a turbo install in Jan if I can save up enough over the break. First step will be an MS to get used to tuning, and to ensure nothing is holding me back when I get the hardware.

I've been lurking a while, and it's a great site. Lots of great info, and some interesting characters. Glad to be here.

Damon

Welcome aboard Damon. I'd say your plans are perfect.

You take the fun out of welcoming noobs (since you already posted pics and put your location below your Avatar ).

Check the FAQs (I have a feeling you've already done so )

Let us know how we can help you.

Thanks for the welcome Rafa.

What part of the Caribbean?

My wife is from Mexico, DF, but we hit up the Yucatan often. Can't afford many other parts of the Caribbean.

Yeah, the FAQs, write ups and tutorials are invaluable here. I've done enough reading I'm really to the point that action is required more than guidance.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions once parts start hitting the car though.
