Not sure if this has been posted before, but I have seen SO many questions about oil filters on here, and frankly was confused myself about differences.

I found this guys video super helpful to show some differences on filters and understand how they are actually work/are built on the inside.

 

One other one that helps show how bypass valves etc. work.
