Think I found my oil pressure problem. 99 base with 70 k miles.

 

Take the solid crank pulley off your motor and put a harmonic balancer back on

 

Were you using a solid aluminum crank pulley?

 

Nobody knows. He's never posted an introductory thread or anything about what he's doing or what he's working with. Only a couple of odd posts in sale and wanted threads.

 

This oil pump was on a dead stock 99 base miata with 70,000 miles. The head exhaust journals were destroyed. Cheaper to replace engine with a 2001 engine. When I bought the car at 60k miles I replaced the water pump and belt as well as front and back seals. No problems until I suddenly had no oil pressure (actual gauge not stock on/off gauge) oil level was normal.
new engine will get a new oil pump and belt, etc. Suspected sabotage, but found no evidence.
