Oil pump
I'm rebuilding a 1.6 motor currently.
Aside from the $400+ billet gears, or a custom dry sump setup, what are the best options for the oil pump, and where's the best places to order them?

I've used an accusump in the past for a different car, they are great for a pure track car, but a messy pain in the *** for any kind of street car.
Any good sources for stock oil pumps?

Personally, I wouldn't replace the pump. I'd tear it apart and clean it up, clean out the dump valve very well, reassemble it using assembly lube, and wish it well. I doubt it's wore out too bad, I hear it gets good lubrication.
I hear ya. I may end up doing that, but I have a tendancy to want to replace them when I have the chance.
One of thoes peace of mind things I don't want it nagging in my ear that I should have spent the extra cash and taken the time while I was in there.
Does the oil pump from the 1.8 work on the 1.6?

Part of the reason I say to do that is because there 'were' some oil pumps people bought that failed prematurely, usually a sticking valve and it would loose pressure. If I were going to replace the pump, it would be with a new mazda unit. I believe they're around 200 bucks. However, I would just clean up my old on and reuse it. If it's ran this long it's fine. I don't see them wearing out really.
