When you say compressed air up the exhaust are you talkin about the tailpipe? or into the head?

Could i hit it with compressed air straight down the spark plug hole, then seafoam it after i get it runnin?

Lets say brake cleaner was easier to acquire than compressed air, if i sprayed brake parts cleaner down the hole would that clean off the threads enough to try and thread in a new plug?

The whole point is to keep the shavings out of the inside of the motor.

compressed air up the tailpipe to create positive pressure inside the head and blast out shavings. you could also remove the exhaust mani and blow air straight into the cylinder, but that's a lot of extra work.

blowing into the spark plug hole pushes metal filings into the cylinder. which is something I'm trying to tell you to avoid. Get a little package of grease from the parts store and grease up the threads of the spark plug and/or tap that you thread in. Hopefully between the air and the grease, you'll get most of the metal bits out.
