Default Ok, so what do u guys think

well ive swapped the suby back to stock and sold most parts, so now just need to sell it and move onto the miata. anyways, i browse cl every now and then and just check maybe theres a crazy deal on a miata, and come up on a turbo one today, the FIRST turbo miata for sale that ive seen. what do you guys think?
http://fresno.craigslist.org/car/697758384.html

i dont even like it that much, im leaning towards a 99, and red/white in color, and clean with low mileage, not a modded one or turbo one. but nevertheless: it seems like a good deal. is this normal asking price for these things with listed mods? And are the parts listed any good? cause some of the stuff listed on there i havent seen mentioned on there, maybe its some generic crap?
Lastly, I love how the guy says "IT PULLS GOOD" and then goes on to say "NEVER BEEN RACED, I DRIVE LIKE A GRANDMA" lol o rly?

Ps: just throw out your opinions if you have any. thanx

I say pass.

I would rather a stocker (99' you say) with good miles and do my own, better setup. Thats not really a setup to "jump" for.....IMHO that is.

You have experience and know your **** from your subie's, do it up on a miata. My saying is, "anyone can buy a fast car".

That car was for sale for really cheap a while back, like 3k or less cheap, some kind of crazy price. The car sold in a matter of days and now I guess the guy fixed it up and is selling it to try and make a profit.

It actually looks pretty nice, although the weird Jr intercooler thingy could be a pain eventually.

Wasnt this the car that was totally smashed up from the rear end with frame damage? I looks very familiar however I thought it was more SoCal then fresno.

Screw water-air ICs. Unless you can get it cheap I say go get yourself an NB. Though I'm partial.

yeah im pretty sure ill pass. i mean im not in a hurry and want to find a nice one. and vash ur right: i wont trust someone to turbo a car for me, i would much rather like to do it myself and know its been done right.

speed, that car was for sale for 3k? holy ****, even if its a pos a modded/turboed miata for 3k is a steal.
the intercooler (like you said) is weird looking and ive never heard of it, as well as he's selling an mspnp for 800 when they are like 750 new? hmm....then he says it has a f-con mini? wtf is a f-con mini? ive heard of the f-con s or what not, but never a mini.

If I ever do get another miata, for some ******* crazy reason, it will be the NB body. I love my NA, but I want the NB interior.....and headlights.

Something like this -> http://tinyurl.com/5c44zy would be a better grab. Reasonable miles, probably owned by a woman, and ready to make a beast.

Glad to hear your finally gonna get one. I swear to god, if you pick one up and boost it before Hustler does anything....I will shitpiss on the first pair of **** I can find.

If it didn't have damage, it would be perfect IMHO. There's nothing about that setup that can't be changed or modified to suit a particular need or taste.

Well, I’ll throw out my opinion then. You asked for it, so don’t go rabid on me. Why a white car? There are some cars that look good in white, but they really ooooh so very rare. IMO the Miata is not one of them. The white colour does not bring out the curves and shapes of a car at all, which in some cases is a blessing (think Volvo 740, Fiat 500, or similar), but on a Miata it is a waste. Just my 0.02. Other then that a -99 is of course the best miata you can buy! Happy hunting.

Tork....

Actually, white NB's aren't very common...same with red. There are TONS of green, black, and silver. NAs are another story when it comes to white. I personally looked for a white NB before i bought my Ti..... I just couldn't find a white NB with cloth interior and the appearance package. Hell, I was even thinking about buying a crystal blue or strato blue.

If you can find an 10AE car, grab it if the price is right. Also, be willing to travel to get a good deal. I drove from Atlanta to somewhere in Va (7hr drive) to get my deal.

I have the exact same car. I love this color. For reference, mine was $7,250 with 51k miles about two months ago, so it's close. Get it down to $6,500 and it's a decent buy. I assume it has this much wiggle room.

Doppleganger-nice find, that car has serious potential, if I was in the market, I think I would quit looking after I saw that one. The seats have been re-upholstered, the interior is real clean, ****, I just saw the hardtop is not included, but I bet you could get it included for $6500-$7000.

Oh I found TONS of deals east of the Mississippi for under $8000 (always look $1000-$1200 more than your budget..in most cases they'll take that much off the asking price)

well you guys are right: white and red are very rare and I most likely wont be able to find one in that color and good condition, but its a preference not a necessity so its not like I wont consider any other color. The one dopleganger posted is a good deal, though i think its possible to find one or get one down to 6200-6500.....anyways, thanx for ur input guys
