Fuel Pump Installation for 93 - Walbro 190 HP
Hello all!
I have a need for a new fuel pump that can handle fueling for my 8PSI supercharged setup (JR) in my 93. I just bought a walbro 190 HP and I have been told by the site I bought it from that there are some modifications on 90-93 miatas for the walbro fuel pump installation. They also said to check this forum for instructions for the mod.
Can someone describe what modification, if necessary, is required for a 90-93 NA for a walbro fuel pump install or point me to the link here? It looks like a direct replacement of the existing walbro that I have installed (190 LPH) but I want to be sure.
Thanks everyone!!!

To install my 255 wally into my '90, I cut most of the bell shaped end off the metal tower holding the pump, leaving just a lip there to bite onto the hose I used in it's place. This was suggested to me because some have claimed to have had o-ring to bell-end sealing issues. When I 'downgraded' to the 190, I just took the 255 off and cut the new hose to the correct length to fit up the 190.
All this being said, if you already have a walbro in-tank in place, the new one should fit right up. They all seem to have pretty much the same shape and overall length.

Thanks everyone....
Here's the link for future reference.

It looks like my original installation was flawed for my 190 LPH. I did NO cutting at all in the outlet line from the pump and just butted it up against the 190. The outlet metal line, if I remember correctly, had a female rubber end that fit over the nozzle on the 190 pump. I bet that is why I am having fuel pressure issues to begin with.
