Default PC based GPS lap timer?

I have been looking at GPS based lap timers for the car i am building and they are all around the range of 500-750. Is there a program out there that can do lap times with a pc and a gps antenna? I could run a micro computer and a touch screen for less, and be able to get real time gauges from the megasquirt too.

Have you looked for an iPhone app? They have one for autocross RaceDataAX so I assume a track version has to exist somewhere.

That is pretty much what i am looking for. I googled everything i could think of and everything that pops up is for slot car racing programs. There has to be something out there i can use.

You can roll your own maxqdata using your own GPS antanna, and a licensed copy of their software. You should shoot them an email asking about it.
