For those of you that missed it on the M.net forums, here it is. Credit goes to ThePass on the M.net forums for the idea.

could you get some more photo of the install or some photos from under the hood.

I would like to see some photos of how you mounted them and all that.

BTW great work

Sigh... if I had 300 to spare on lights... I'd do this so quickly. Guess my 2 sets of cheap driving lights will have to do.

neat looking, only if there were a superlight hood available that was complete without the barn door provisions

The Piaa 3000's have a high (driving) low (fog) and a signal marker in them.

I'm wanting to do this mod baaaad! I hate the barn doors. They screw with high speed handling, add a bunch of drag and wind noise is noticably louder with them up. Doesn't hurt that you can lose 20-25lbs of weight that's high and forward of the axles either.

Would love to see any pics of the process or ideas for how those are mounted in.

1. How adjustable are the beams up and down?
2. How glaring for oncoming traffic?
3. Is the yellow low/fog beam OK as the regular light?
4. Can the low and high be run at the same time?
5. What do you think of the light distribution at night?

Mach - there is a company that makes fiberglass hoods around that deletes them. Can't remember the name but if you look at m.net you'll find it easily.

I'm not worried about front turn signals exept for any legal issues. What do I care if oncoming traffic knows I'm turning or not? Behind me? Sure. In front? Meh...

A good price is about $275 for the pair. I look at it partially as a performance mod. You can gut the pop ups for weight savings and the aero is much better at night. Haven't found anything else like them for less.

You can find them cheaper. I've got a local shop that quoted me $275.

I like. I am very tempted to do this..

What did you use for the lens?

For those who were asking about legality, some jurisdictions have laws requiring head lamps (after dusk) and specifically defining the use of fog lamps ONLY as inadequate after dusk, and that fogs are not a substitution for head lamps and warrant a stop at night. Don't quote me on that for your own state, I only checked Wisconsin regs about that stuff.

So if there are 2 unprotected left turns (you and oncoming traffic both going left), you don't want the oncoming vehicle to know you're turning left instead of straight?

I point when I turn left if someone is coming.

Haven't had front signals in almost 2 years now. I've never been stopped for anything lighting related in the car, even with some crappy h4 housings and retarded bright HID lights.

Personally I wouldn't mind doing this mod myself, but for 300$ I'd almost rather just get the stupid priced low-profile MOSS kit that used to be 370$ and is now 500...

Bad ***, but the idea is not new...

I looked into doing it if I had gotten a NA.
