Default prop valve for "sport" brakes

I'm running sport front brakes now, and 1.8 rears on my 1.6 car with the stock 1.6 prop valve. Is the wilwood prop valve the best way to go, or is there a better option.

How do I set the thing up when I install? Do I need to set it up in the wet to avoid disaster?
