Default Quantum fuel pumps.

My DW200 fuel pump died last month. The frog came home on the back of a truck. My new tuner advised me to use a Quantum pump. They show a miata one with 255 lph capacity. It's $30 less than the DW, so I'm like cool.
install in the car. I have to go about 25 miles away to take some tuning logs. On the way back car just dies. While waiting in 90 degree sun I pull the pump assembly. The whole damn thing has fallen off and is dangling by wires. Filter's on the bottom of tank. Get home and realize that their mount will never work. Attach pump with circle clamp. Go back out to get log. Car keeps spiking lean (17s) and won't idle. Nurse it home. Pull pump out 5 more times before realizing that sock is facing wrong direction and hits shelf, obstructing flow. Try calling support no answer. Send angry email with pictures. After a couple days they say I have the wrong filter sock. Wait 4 more days. Went to put it together and the sock doesn't fit the pump outlet. Do yourself a favor and don't buy one of these. Even the rubber insulator jacket, that goes over the pump, it expanded during the 4 days in the tank. Because of this pump the car hasn't run for well over 2 weeks. I've already ordered another DW200. I hope they take this back, or it will go in my box of lessons learned.

Trash. No surprises at all. I don't even recommend DW's anymore actually, just the AEM340. I've had 5 DW's fail so far. Zero AEM's

I wonder if quality of DW (like everything else in the world lately) has went downhill. I'm on year 8 or so with a DW350, it sees long term storage and random use with both e and regular gas. I also got the pressure cranked because i'm a crack head. So far so good with the pump. Maybe it will let me down one day. I've even used cheap quantum fuel pumps, no issues.

I have however had plenty of issues with Holly fuel pumps, those things are hot burning dumpster fire garbage. Which is who i think makes the AEM. AEM used to be great, until Holley got their greasy little hands on them and fucked them up like they do with every other brand.
