hey guys, im looking into making my gear ratio a bit taller, i have the 1.6 rear end currently and i am going to upgrade, what does everyone think about their ratios? i dont want to go too high, becuase i still want close gears for the track... but i would love 1st to be longer... could you guys tell me what you think of the 4.1, 3.9, and the 3.6?

 

The 3.6 is going to be too tall for your liking i bet unless you plan to run a 6spd(more $$). The 4.1 is well accepted and 3.9s are greatly sought after.

I like my 4.1. Shoot me your email on AIM and I'll send you the excel spreadsheet I built to compare the various transmissions and rear end options.

No options for a longer 1st besides running a taller R&P with the 5-speed (anything with a 6 will be shorter) or the FM gearset which is munnyz.

 

i dont have aim. so i read most of that thread... seems like most people like the 4.1, but 170rpm decrease doesnt sound like much... how is the 3.9?

 

plus that sheet that you sent me said that when you get the 4.1 your final speed in each gear was acutually lower.. this doesnt make any sense to me... help?

 

my wife left me because i was having sex with a midget behind her kitchen counter while she was at work. she came home and found me ***** deep in this dude's *** and just flipped. i mean she lost it. she threw the tray of dishes from the sink at my head. it missed and hit the midget (who is named fred in case you were wondering) then she called me a freak and stormed out. she came back about a week later to gather up some of her things and go back to her mom's house. i wasn't there but fred said that she attacked him after she loaded her car up with ****. he said he got in a few good shots on her but he looked fucked up so i think she actually won the fight. poor fred. i just can't look at him the same way anymore. he's the reason my wife left. i probably should have called it off but instead i just moved out without telling him where i was going and then i changed my number. last i heard he was seen walking down a side street in the downtown core wearing a dress and a turtleneck sweater. that **** was fucked up. i should go suckerpunch that bitch. stop making threads.
