Racequip seat?
Looking for a budget friendly seat to replace my leather NB2 seat.
Was looking at the Racequip 15", as it's FIA certified and only $400. Just can't seem to find any reviews on it as it's still fairly new to the market. Link for reference.

Has anyone sat in these or have any input on them?? Thanks.

Yeah I really like the RaceQuip, dimensionally and construction with leather bolsters makes me believe it will offer good longevity. Probably best bang for the buck for a fixed back fiberglass FIA cert seat, if it fits well in the Miata that is.
I have yet to see any pictures installed in any cars though. I may have to be the guinea pig

Jegs shows a ship date of 4/8 and some other random sites show the seats but no one has them in-stock from what I can tell. I'll call Racequip on Monday and find out if anything has gone out yet.
Edit: Summit has one version with a date of 3/15 and the other sizes as 4/28.

I would love to find a local dealer and get a feel for them but we don't always have that luxury lol

Just got an email back from Racequip...
"We got in over 600 of them to date, but they are selling quicker than we can build them currently."
So they are shipping them, just selling very fast. Probably the best bet is to just place a preorder somewhere. I did see them on a couple small vendor sites when you search for the part numbers. They might have inventory.

I just placed my order for pickup at the Summit Arlington store. They had 2 in stock, I bought one. Probably going to order the PLM seat bracket and will let you guy know on fitment.

Well after going to Summit and them saying that the seats listed as in stock was in fact not in stock. Canceled the order and saw one in stock at Jegs and ordered it. It arrived yesterday.
Seat is very nice, the leather on the bolsters was one of my favorite parts. One issue I had that I am unsure if it is the correct fit or not is it feels narrow in the shoulders. I have to roll my shoulders forward for my upper back to make contact on the seat and then roll my shoulder back and it was very tight but locked me in very well. The only other seats I've had for comparison was a reclining Bride(not sure if real or fake) that I used with the same mounts in my last Miata and those fit me perfect.
Onto the fitment in the car....they don't fit with the PCI mounts I got on FB marketplace. The rear mounting hole is the least an inch too high. The bottom of the seat fits without issue, the shoulders hit the NB door cards slightly but the seat was clocked a bit towards the door so if I could mount the seat and bolt in the mount it may have pulled it away from the door just enough to close with very little contact.
In the pictures the seat is sitting with the front bolt on at the very front/top bolt hol, the rear of the seat is sitting on the back of the mount, and the headrest is resting on the roll bar.

I think the PLM brackets have more material on them, I'm thinking of buying one of those and trying that. I'm just worried about my fitment in the seat with my shoulders.
If anyone has a PLM bracket, could you measure from the bottom of the mount to the top hole?
