Rear end questions
Lol... from some more research... its the 99-05 5spd cars that have the 4.30 rearend... not just 99-00.
And no... I won't trade my 01 rearend for a 93 viscous... i have that already

Agreed. Stupid little 6". I'm glad I respect my clutch and refuse to launch or drop it. When I first bought my car I didnt know about the rear being weak. I bought it on a whim and only problem I knew of was the short nose.
My friend bought an 86? non turbo RX-7, dropped his clutch ALL the time and launched whenever he could. Sheared the teeth off the right side axle. That car is still sitting in his back yard. Last time I checked, it didn't start and had some form of animal living in it. Sad really...

I got a 99 torsen 4.3....love it. With the Greddy, you need to be more revvy anyway (that and it doesn't mess up your speedometer readings). If I had a ball bearing turbo, I would opt for the 4.1 rear....but most don't get a choice. When the 6" blows, your not too picky for which 7" you get.
