Can I replace my metric oil gauge for an imperial one?

I don't understand what 4kg/cm2 means in comparaison of psi... I'm just more comfortable with psi.

Also I don't how to interprate the gauge reading. When in cold start, my idle is good to 850 rpm but the oil is up to 4kg. While running cold it's the same, running to 4kg. Then when the car has warmed up at the idle it's lower ( a little lower of 2kg) and when cruising on the highway it's steady to 3kg.

 

so instead of just learning what the fully functional gauge means, you want to replace it with a totally different one? ubuh?

rule of thumb when dealing with oil pressure:
cold is higher
warm is lower
higher with throttle than at idle

 

Yeah I know it sounds pretty retarded... It's just that I more comfortable with psi. You know, it's pretty dull here that because some people use metric, some use imperial and you always have to make the conversion. They teach metric in schools but everyone use imperial when doing fabricating or so. So I will refer to the thumb rule and that will close the case. Not checking the numbers but more the position of needle.

 

this is exactly the reason why Mazda switched to a fake oil pressure gauge on later models. People would freak when the oil pressure was high on startup or when it changed when they changed oil grades.
