Reroute hose solution to add clearance for I/C piping
2 Attachment(s)
I wanted to add this information to the thread that mentions using the GM hose for the reroute but I didn't have permission to post in that thread. When using the GM hose (Gates part #22436) the hose is the right length and has the right bends to meet up with the radiator, but because it comes at the radiator at ~45 degree angle it can cause some clearance issues with your intercooler piping coupler right off the throttle body. I work at a parts store so I went and dug through hoses for a while until I found one that makes 2 tight 90 degree bends and and then meets up to the GM hose. Since you'll have to use a joiner in the straight section anyway, you can use a 1.25" pipe anywhere from 3 inches to 20 inches long. It might not give you enough clearance for a really fat radiator, but it does give a much needed extra inch or two. The hose is Gates part #21025, this thing fits a lot of cars like camry, corolla, pathfinder, etc. so it should be easy to find. Just thought this might be useful to some.
