ROTARY swap
yeah i'm on miataTURBO.net with a section for miataV8 just another swap i'm just keeping it mazda instead of throwing a 302 or an ls1 in it so whats your point are you sayin rotary's arent allowed on this site?
you sure do know your rotaries huh most rotaries made were 1.3 liter two rotor motors rarely will you see a 1.9 three rotor motor unless you build it yourself and then there is those very rare occassions you'll see a four rotor motor the said 2.6 liter motor. but you are right with any variation of the rotary there is no fuel efficient rotary motor

And sticking with Mazda isn't really a good argument. The rotary section of mazda is like a completely different company. If you want to stick with Mazda, just stick with the stock motor and make it fast. I think it's way cooler to make the stock not ****.
Why not a rotary section? Because most of the people interested in spending money for swaps are not interested in an airplane engine.

Do it for less than strapping a DIY turbo kit on the 1.6 thats in the car and I'll give you my car. Better save your receipts. Oh, and it has to last at least 50k miles after the swap without removing it from the car.
Good luck.
