Seems like a bp swapped festiva would be a great platform to embarrass people, and I'm tempted to swap my engine into one. Does the suspension suck? Are there any decent transmission or LSD options? Am I crazy?

Suspension is pretty good. Basically the same as a mk2/3 golf.

Transmissions suck they start to go around 250hp. Theres a few bandaids to make them last longer but there isn't enough room in the engine bay to fit a larger/stronger trans. Mfactory makes a lsd for them though. No you arent crazy lol. Record right now is a 11.7 1/4 mile with a turbo bp. A standard n/a bp swap will put you in low 14s high 13s.

suspension is good? are you joking? LOL

they're scary, but also amazing for making a sleeper that hurts feelings on the street

if you end up getting one, hit me up I got a friend that's parting one out that was seriously quick 1.8 BP swap, diy turbo setup, protege cable trans, mfactory diff, lots and lots of goodies

here's him messing with a 500whp terminator cobra

and doing 12's

It was a really crazy car that scared me when I was tuning it hahaha

Awesome. Is probably just run N/A. My engine will be around 150 rwhp if I ever finish it. Swapping the assfire parts to get decent hubs sounds like a pain though.

Would the 99 Miata intake manifold fit without the throttle body smacking into the strut tower?

Aspire stuff is direct swap just unbolt your stock knuckles and bolt the aspire stuff on. Just have to switch to aspire outer tie rods. No only way a miata manifold will work is if you cut the tb off and weld it to the opposite end.
