Look at this hood design
So Chaser posted over on the other forum the NA extraction hoods they finally received. But part of the pictures and description got me thinking:
My understanding has always been that an opening designed like that would be induction rather than extraction. I'd like to know if that's incorrect. If I am correct though, what will this hood do to the airflow through the engine bay considering the extraction vents?
The hood is also "Flared" which means the back edge is raised and vented to extract more heat.

My favorite products are the one where the designers proudly display their lack of understanding in the product description. That hood will increase engine bay pressure by opening up a high-pressure vent at the back, and the vent at the front will become less effective as a result.

If you need an extractor hood there's only three options I would consider.
A. Buy a hood from rharris.
B. Find a used FM hood.
C. Put and extractor scoop in your stock hood. Use either a Mini Cooper hood scoop flipped around, or use the Carbon Trix scoop.
