Default Should I buy this car? - '90 Miata auto w/ Hardtop

Kids,

Should I buy this car? Assuming it's still available...

1990 Mazda Miata w/Hardtop

How much would you pay for it?

PROS:

Hardtop

low mileage

Cheap

CONS:

1.6

1.6 w/ shortnose crank

Autotragic

Paint...OMG the paint

uhhh...basically everything else.

Basically, I'm sort of in the market for a hardtop and this seems like a good way to get a hardtop for cheap.

If I were to get this car here are some possible scenarios. Which would you do?

A. Buy car....take hardtop...immediately sell car whilst doing the absolute minimum amount of work to clean up the car. Try to sell car for close to same amount it's purchased for?

B. Buy car....take hardtop for other car...try to clean up the car. Get a buddy to re-spray in the OEM white. Swap in a five speed. Try to sell for profit?

C. Buy car...take hardtop...swap in 5-speed....use as POS 2nd car. Think Hustler's second car minus the 30mpg and VVT engine, and well everything.

D. Buy car...take hardtop...swap 5 speed...do super duper cheap turbo set-up with garret t3 I have sitting around. Have two turbo miatas...?

E. Buy car...take hardtop...swap 1.8 and 5 speed...have buddy re-spray....try to make into a decent car. Then sell or drive.

F. Buy car...take hardtop...do something else I'm not thinking of?

Which option say you?

When there's an $1800 hardtop Miata on CL, you buy it and THEN figure out what you'll do with it. While you're making this decision, someone else will be test driving.

Yea, I'm waiting to hear back from the seller. It's probably gone already...
