Show me your custom tiny battery bracketry
I have a tiny Deka ETX14 replacement battery for my NB. I'm looking for ideas on how to make a bracket for it.
The NB bracket is a rod that goes across with 2 little angle bar pieces that hold the battery down. The Deka is lower, and smaller...... |

I'll have to post some pics when I get home tonight. For the street, I have a piece of aluminum with folded sides that rivets into the body that holds a Pb battery. It's solid. The only thing I worry about is the rivets failing. Bolts/screws may be a better choice. There's a velcro strap glued to the bottom that straps the battery in. You can see part of it in the pic below with a etx20l. For the track I'm going to build a plastic battery box around it with a second strap to keep the LiFe battery from getting out.

^Off topic... but could you remind me who makes those switches/switchpanels?

Seems like a small piece of 2x4 on the stock bracket is pretty popular and seems to hold well until you start to make somewhere north of 1.3g of grip. Then sweet sweet grounding to the chassis.

Better pics. I've been lazy and didn't put all 4 rivets in when I moved it.
Switches are painless 50005. Pricey for what they are. If you have the money I'd go with a smartwire. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1362542846 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1362542846 |

Other than the fact there is no engine in the car? Nope. Was having idle droop issues when the fans turned on (FM big fans) and decided on overkill. Turned out I had a motor issue. But the few weeks it was running nope, no issues at all. I could probably leave the lights on all day and start it. It's what FM uses in their V8 cars, but cheaper on Autozone.com

Hopefully it's more robust than the model 35 red-top. Mine lasted two years.

I hope so too. Been sitting about 9 months and just took a charge up the other day fine. We'll see. I think it's bigger than the one in my Jeep + winch capacity wise.
