Pretty sure he's still alive. I think he's been on XBL at least once in the past few months.

It's actually a relevant question. If he'd started a new thread you'd be flaming him for not searching. :dunno:

YEAH, and if he hadn't posted in this thread and instead started a new one, you'd have had a little fit and linked him to this thread and said "Hey dipshit, why didn't you just add to this thread."

There's a time and a place to bash NOOBS... I actually wrote several books on the subject. Bumping a thread like this for an answer like he's looking for is a perfectly good reason to bring an old thread back from the dead.

He dead. I always like the pics of his dogs, though. Someone needs to put a Santa hat on my Av this winter.

Proper use of bumping.

I shoot first and ask questions later, sorry if y'all can't handle that.

EDIT: I'm obviously wrong, don't exactly know what I was thinking...

What color wires do you have? Here is the 90's wiring diagram. If you look at page 6, in section c-14 you can see what the stock wiring colors are. I do not see a blue/white wire on the 90. Now I have never done the sleepy eye mod, so I am not sure which wire you need to tap.

Red. Yellow and red. Green for retractor...

When I get home tonight, I will try to figure out what wire you need to splice into. Although I do not guarantee I will give you the correct info. As I have never done the sleepy eye mod, nor do I really plan on it.

Just so I understand correctly, are we actually helping someone make their Miata look like it has broken headlight motors?

And make themselves look like retards. The headlights can be raised manually when the motors are broken.

kotomile 01-25-2012 05:12 PM

I can't prove this, but after my Miata went through (and emerged from) its "sleepy" phase, the headlights seem to bounce around more than they did before I ever tried to get them to hold that uncomfortable neither-up-nor-down pose.

There are other variables in play, of course, like the recently installed ES bushings, etc. But this is maybe something for the OP and others considering the broken headlight motor mod to consider.

I hate to pop the question but why would you have them up during the day so they look broken? I'd understand if you had the 90mm lights so they are functional but you dont, at night you still have to lift them up fully.

halfmanhalfhorse2009 01-25-2012 05:56 PM

Is it really that hard to answer the question? Apparently people have internet balls, cuz they wouldn't be talking all this ---- if I was standing in front of you... Get off the internet, u gotta wake up early to catch the school bus

triple88a 01-25-2012 06:12 PM

Ohh ----!! Its about to get serious.

I had the sleepy eyes on my black pop ups. I liked them at the time, also not giving two fucks what anyone else thought.

The pivot controller is what I was using though. Although I cant remember if it just plugged in to an existing harness or if I wired it in. I kept them on the lowest setting which was like 20%.

If I was to go back to flip ups in the future I'd definitely have to get the Moss low pros. I'd never go back to the full 7" frog eyes again. :fawk: Fawk that.

gearhead_318 01-25-2012 06:32 PM

If I where y'all I would be careful what I said to this guy, he is a centaur after all.
