The SLO KART

So I've lurked for a while and decided to make a thread on here. It started out as a $400 non running, non titled Miata, and has come a long way. Turbo setup shouldn't be too far away, just getting the funds together.

Glad you got rid of that body kit that makes the miata gods cry.
|
I like the polished hood. Great job getting rid of that body kit too! What's the turbo plans?
You paid more for the steering wheel setup than the car, hehe. |

You paid more for the steering wheel setup than the car, hehe. My roommate may be fixing the body work for me, so I can have it painted. Considering smurf again, or some form of green, maybe a charcoal. Turbo plans are basically the same as his Miata, Upgraded Greddy setup with a MSPNP, aiming for the 225-250 range. |
Sounds like a solid plan.
Always refreshing to see a car get rescued out of ricery and rehabilitated :) |

Laguna Blue....it's the perfect blue and your engine bay won't look all whacky out of place and shit. It'll look great when the rocker panels are taken care of!
|
Haven't heard from you in a while sir. How goes it?
|
You are in my neck of the woods. I was just at the Bradenton track for the US Nationals.
|
Yeah, roommate just said he saw your car there last week. Should run into you in Lakeland in a few months.
|
I was not there last week. The motor is currently out of my car for a rebuild.
|
Oh, lol oh well, he said something about a black NA with skinny's up front.
And as far as color's go, I'm thinking a bright, almost krypton green, or an olive drab. Just something less than stock. |
Nice car and nice way to transform it from the disaster it was before! As far as color, Olive Drag would be pretty cool. Everyone who says keep the blue so the engine bay doesn't look out of place...how do you you think the same color blue a '99 10AE was would look? What is it called, Medium Atlantic Blue?
|
I really don't get the chicken wire on cars thing. Looking a lot better without that garbage body kit.

Thanks for all the comments guys, I was warned about getting ripped on, and am pleasantly surprised.
