But now its gone




Much better spool up and I gained 3psi after ditcing the damn thing.

Oh... Looks good man. Clean car. I don't run a catalytic converter either. Stock muffler is pretty restrictive too I hear.

was it a high flow cat you removed or a stock type?

i'm running a magnaflow 3" cat, i doubt its really holding me back but who knows

Well my MSM cat was hella restrictive. I had it cut out and then had the straight pipe you see above welded on. Its was very worth it for me.

Well lets so for ive:

Gotten an FM intake, throttle body pipe, HKS and GFB bov, an MBC, a Cxracing intercooler, cat delete, had and then returned a Greddy profec b spec 2, installed an autometer boost gauge, replaced all the vac lines with silicone lines and im buying and installing 305cc injectors this week.

SO much for self control lol

On topic:

Does hollowing out a cat have the same effect?

I am considering a test pipe, but may just knock the internals out of my cat for now.

WEll i certainly am. Its been nothing but beneficial on this car....outside of the effects on the earth but still. I also replaced the busted front lip

I gutted mine out just the other day, I'm pretty sure it was clogged.
I didnt really notice a huge difference, spools a bit quicker.
It also added an interesting sound to the exhuast note at full throttle.

Ugh. I bought the FM mani yesterday and now im debating if i really should go through all the hassel of getting and installing another turbo and downpipe. Damn my indicisiveness!
