A salad of the metal sort that is. My daily driver 97 that I swapped a 1.6 rear onto busted up the rear end today upon approaching Santa Cruz. I was being stupid and making the car buck back and forth a few times in the traffic and next thing I knew the rear was grinding up like a ************. I managed to limp it to a parking spot where I will be swapping in a replacement tomorrow

Oh so moral of the story, if you got a 1.8 w/ 1.6 rear ya better be careful. And however funny it may look to do so, making the car buck on its 4wheelin and old shocks stock suspension is a bad idea.

 

How long did that last for ya?

 

bout 3 months, but i've been far to hard on it with multiple burnouts and such. Im just pissed off that I gotta drive 2.5 hours each way to pick up my car in Santa Cruz now.
