Default So we are going to 24 hours of LeMons again!

Hi, Team Captain:

Good news--I think. Your team has officially been ACCEPTED for LeMons Southern Discomfort at Carolina Motorsports Park on 5-7 February 2010.

So here we go again time to build endurance race car to run all weekend for $500 or less.

The 24 Hours of LeMons

Got some Q's...car is up and running and I have almost 2 months to make it "better" so far we have built a 2.5" exhaust with a 3" collector. Can't wait to feel the Powher! So anyone ever use a RX-7 AFM? Worth it? My reading says yes above 6K rpm, well thats where this little 1.6l will live for two days. Also we are addressing the suspension, its a mess...stock 20 year old miata stiff. Any ideas? Cheep!

Last years team.

Our race car on track last spring.

You guys going with the same theme? Congrats on getting back in. We have to submit our application by saturday and have to decide if we are staying with top gun or a new theme we have. We also might have a Toyota Camry, which will be awesome! I love racing the Miata, but racing the Camry will be a riot.

My APR crew wants to build a car we just don't have any time right now to get r dun. Was the large gunning tower required as a penalty?

New theme same car. As you know the LeMons "rulers" hate E-30 BMW and Matas so we have done the worst thing we could think of doing. Don't want to give it away yet so here is one pic of the build so far. Like?

As discussed earlier, get rid of the heavy steel wheels. That should increase accelleration and possibly help some on the handling.
Have a friend locally running the RX-7 AFM on a 1990 for auto-x. Claims there is a noticeable difference above 5500 RPMs.

Went to "Driftwater" to test the latest in LeMons suspension technology to day and had a great time! 2 mile road coarse with a lot of great turns and inclines. Also brought some other cars to play with.

Over all the car ran great!

Like my last track rental, it snowed.

Good deal....great idea.

Be hard for the judges to not get a kick out of that.

That's awesome. This is the first LeMons south that we'll be missing (we drove the Hong Norr Obamanation CRX the last 3 events).

Though, with the way the weather looks, I can't say I'll miss it too much as we'd inevitably be swapping an engine sometime Saturday in the mud if past experience has any thing to say about it, hehe.

Best of luck to you guys!
