Default soft top+frame used prices

long story short.
i have a 99 miata with tan top with glass defroster
bought a hardtop from a guy(defroster doesnt work due to corroded grid)
guy wants to buy my soft top for 200
sure
take it off car with frame and everything
guy offers 150

if i were to just sell this here or locally, what kind of pricing are we looking at?
the soft top looks mint and tight.

I'd pay $200 in a heartbeat if I needed one and both the top and frame were in good shape.

Wait, did your hardtop seller reduce his offer after you went through the trouble of removing it? I'd tell him to keep his hardtop and go **** himself.

I would refuse to do business with douche canoes that try to pull stuff like this. It's one thing if he didn't see it beforehand, but it appears he has so no excuses.

ive already bought the hardtop from him a month ago and he saw the car and condition of soft top in. he raved how i could get 300-400 for it easy. then he asked if he could get it for 200. im too nice/naive for the pricing on this thats why i asked. hardtop was an ok price for being in the south(900)

900 isn't much of a deal on a hard top. That's high average. Tell him to **** off.

It's one thing to lowball someone. Hey, if they agree, it's just good dealing.

But to offer one price, then jap out and lowball, that's being a dick. Not cool at all.

Yeah, screw that guy. I sold just the soft top frame (top was completely shot) a while back for $75 so I'd be shocked if you couldn't get north of $200 for everything if it's in good shape.

Tell him you want to sell it to him, make him drive all the way out to meet you and then when he arrives tell him the top now costs $300

I bought a canvas top+frame for 330. That was junkyard pricing. I wouldn't sell it for less than 300.

Soft top and frame in good condition, $300 easy. If its the nicer canvas top from the NB's, $400.
