Installed the soft top, but forgot to attach the new cables in the correct sequence.

Now cannot get the spring retaining screws out with an angle driver.

Any reason not to:

1) Peel off the rubber
2) Remove the stainless runner
3) Drill out 2 rivets
4) Pull back the cloth
5) Install the spring

Reverse

It would seem that I could get enough slack in the fabric to approach it this way, same as one might use in to replace the cables in the middle of a top's life.
